Half bathrooms are often overlooked when it comes to home design. At Eratage Interiors, we think this room deserves better! Since half baths are smaller in size, they serve as the perfect budget-friendly canvas to add some extra personality to your home, or to try out bold design ideas to make sure you really love them before incorporating them into the rest of your home. Ready to get started? Here are three design elements that you can play with to make your home stand out as a unique and character filled space!
Take risks with bold paint colors

Common areas are typically lighter and brighter, but half baths are an opportunity to play with bolder colors since it's not a room that people are in for very long periods of time. And, the mirror in your half bath will open up your space with the magic of reflection, meaning you don't have to worry about the bolder colors swallowing up your room. Going bold with paint color can add so much depth to your half bath and is a great choice if you don't want to splurge on a whole lot of other decor in the space since these colors can speak for themselves. Or, you can have both bold paint and decor as seen in the super fun and unique Eratage Interiors Tattoo Shop Inspired Bath Remodel! Color in photo: 1905 Green by Magnolia.
invest in designer tile

One of the biggest perks of remodeling a half bath is that it costs less because you need less! This makes it a perfect opportunity to invest in higher-quality tile because you can do so for much cheaper than if you were to do so in a full bathroom. Stuck on where to find the tile of your dreams? Eratage Interiors lead designer Sarah Patch reccomends Edward Martin, Zia Tile, and Fireclay Tile!
have fun with wallpaper

Pattern is a powerful element of home design when done right, as it incorporates visual interest into a space in a way that makes any room feel extra welcoming. In living rooms, for instance, pattern is often brought in through items such as throw pillows, blankets and rugs. In bathrooms, wallpaper is a great way to incorporate it (since adding throw pillows and blankets to a bathroom might not be the best idea). If you're worried about wallpaper overpowering your space, you can always opt for a single-color wall paneling for the bottom half of your space as pictured!
We hope you've loved these designs as much as we do! This tiny space has so much potential, and can bring a ton of life to your home when done right. Any questions? Feel free to leave them in the comments! Otherwise, let us know which one of these designs was your favorite. Happy designing!
